High Contrast

• Use high contrast color schemes in slides and posters
• White writing on a blackground is much easier for most visually impaired individuals to read than black writing on a white background

Alternative Format

• Put slides online in advance and link with a QR code on the first slide.
• This allows people to download the presentation on their own devices which may have accessibility features enabled.

Note: use selectable text as they are important for screen readers.

Easy-to-Read Font and Text

• Use
  • Sans serif font, at least 24 points,
  • Increased line spacing, and
  • Left or right justified text.
• Avoid
  • Using underlines or italics.
  • Using images behind the text.

These formatting options may help those with visual impairments and specific reading challenges such as Dyslexia and ADHD.

Visual information

Dscribe pertinent parts of graphics, videos, and other visuals to the extent needed to understand the presentation by someone who is visually impaired.

Contraste Élevé

• Utilisez une palette de couleur à contraste élevé dans vos présentations et affiches.
• Une couleur de police blanche sur un arrière-plan noir est beaucoup plus facile à lire pour la majorité des personnes avec des déficiences visuelles qu’une couleur de police noire sur arrière-plan blanc. 

Format Alternatif

• Partagez votre affiche en ligne en avance, et ajoutez un code QR. 
• Ceci permet à votre audience de télécharger l’affiche sur leur propre appareil, qui pourrait avoir des aides à l’accessibilité.  
• Remarque: utilisez du texte sélectionnable car ils sont importants pour les lecteurs d’écran. 

Polices et textes faciles à lire 

Évitez: 

• Du texte souligné ou en italique
• Des images derrière du texte 

Utilisez:

• La police Sans Serif, taille 24 minimum

Informations Visuelles

Décrivez les parties pertinentes d’un graphique, d’une vidéo, un d’un autre contenu visuel d’une façon qui permet aux personnes avec des handicaps visuels de comprendre le contenu présenté.
